Biography

Young Armenian soprano Heghine Khachatryan studied first piano at the Yerevan State Pedagogical College and in 2019 obtained her Bachelor’s degree as a singer from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, where she studied with soprano Rebeka Ojakhyan. She finished her studies with a Master's degree in 2021.

In 2022 she joined the Young Artists Opera Program of the National Academic Theatre of Yerevan, where was studying under Levon Javadyan. In 2023 she was invited to join the Armenian National Opera as a soloist. Her roles include Adina L’elisir d’amore, Olimpia in opera Arsace secondo by Tigran Chukhajyan, conducted by Donato Renzetti as well as
Euridice Orfeo ed Euridice, conducted by Eduard Topchyan. In a student production she performed Norina Don Pasquale under the baton of Karen Lavchyan.

Heghine Khachatryan won 1st prize in the “Romansiada” vocal competition in 2022 and has participated in masterclasses of Orlin Anastassov, Ulrike Sontag, Pauletta Marrocu, Karine Babajanyan, Barseghi Tumanyan and Mkrtich Banajanyan.
