Biography

Young Ukrainian soprano Inna Fedorii has just joined the ensemble of Staatstheater Wiesbaden. Her roles in the 2024/2025 season include Amanda Le grand macabre, Flamel Fantasio, Gretel Hänsel und Gretel and Berta Il barbiere di Siviglia. As a member of the OperAvenir at Theater Basel 2021-2024, she made her role debuts as Gilda Rigoletto, Gabriel/Eva in a staged version of Haydn’s Die Schöpfung, Woglinde Das Rheingold, Frasquita Carmen, Philine Mignon, Berta Il Barbiere di Siviglia, La Compagna in Luigi Nono’s Intolleranza, Soprano solo in the cathedral/ Daughter/ Mother in Shostakovich’s Nose, Voix d’en haut Don Carlos and the Soprano solo in Romeo Castellucci's hailed production of Mozart's Requiem. She sang scenes of Donna Anna Don Giovanni and Purcell’s Fairy Queen in the series Klassikermaschine at the foyer of Theater Basel.

Her concert performances have included the soprano solos in Emanuele d'Astorga's Stabat Mater, in Bach's Coffee Cantata, in Mozart's Requiem, in Rossini's Petite Messe Solenelle, Beethoven's Mass in C Major and in Orff’s Carmina Burana. She became 1st prize winner at the Wassyl Slipak Competition 2019 in Lviv and at the Oksana Petrusenko Competition 2017 in Kherson and was a finalist in the Eva Marton Competition 2018 in Budapest as well as at the Stanislaw Moniuszko Competition 2022.

Inna Fedorii studied choral conducting at the Ternopil Conservatory and subsequently singing at the Lviv National Music Academy, obtaining a Master's degree in 2021. She participated in the young artists’ programme Opera Academy at the Polish National Opera in Warsaw during 2019-2021, where she worked with Olga Pasichnyk, Matthias Rexroth and Eytan Pessen. In Basel her main coach has been Hélio Vida. She has took part in master classes with Anne Sofie von Otter, Hedwig Fassbender, Andrea Sanguinetti, Eva Marton, Sylvain Cambreling, Michelle Breedt and Christine Schäfer.
