Biography

Young Armenian bass Gosh Sargsyan began his musical journey at the Yerevan State Conservatory, studying first under internationally renowned tenor Gegham Grigoryan and later under baritone Gevorg Hakobyan. Additionally he participated in the Young Artist Opera Program of Armenia under Levon Javadyan.

Since 2023 Gosh Sargsyan has sung as a soloist at the Armenian State Opera and Ballet Theatre. His most notable performances include roles such as Dulcamara L'elisir d'amore, Commendatore Don Giovanni, Kyochva Anush, and Nerses Arsace Secondo. Furthermore, he made his recent role debuts as Colline La Bohème and Old Gypsy Aleko this year.

In 2022 Gosh Sargsyan emerged as one of the finalists in the "Ottavio Ziino" competition and the following year, he reached the finals of the "35th Annual Eleanor McCollum" competition. In 2023, he won First Prize in the "Concorso Internazionale Online SOI Fiorenza Cedolins". In the summer 2024 he attended the Georg Solti Academy for young singers.
