Biography

Japanese baritone Tamon Inoue holds a Master’s degree from the Tokyo University of the Arts and a diploma from the opera studio of the New National Theatre in Tokyo. In 2021, he made his stage debut as Robert in Tchaikovsky's Iolanta in Tokyo, in the production of Yannis Kokkos. Since 2022, he has been perfecting his skills in Italy with Maestro William Matteuzzi.

Tamon Inoue has performed a variety of roles in Japan and Italy, at venues such as Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Comunale Modena, Teatro Regio di Parma, Teatro Sociale di Como, Teatro Grande di Brescia, Arena Sferisterio di Macerata. His repertoire ranges from baroque to the 20th century music, including Dandini La Cenerentola, Bruschino Padre Il Signor Bruschino, Germano La scala di seta, Enrico Il Campanello, Silvio I Pagliacci, Gianni Schicchi, Schaunard La Bohème, Ford Falstaff, Germont La Traviata, Figaro Il nozze di Figaro, Leporello and Masetto Don Giovanni, Don Crisobolo in Cimarosa's L'impresario in angustie, Don Carissimo in Alessandro Scarlatti's in La Dirindina, Don Quijote in Manuel de Falla's El retablo del Maese Pedro, and Prigioniero in Luigi Dallapiccola's Il Prigioniero.

In 2024, he debuted as a soloist in Orff’s Carmina Burana and in the title role of Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi at the Teatro Comunale di Modena. The winner of the AsLiCo Competition 2025 for the role of Ford in Verdi’s Falstaff, his success in competitions also include First prize at the Beppe de Tomasi 2023 and Milton Marelli 2024, 2nd prize at the Mattea Battistini 2024, 3rd prize at the Pietro Boni 2024 and the Corsica Lirica 2025.
