German-French dramatic soprano Alexandra Untiedt studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, and the Sweelinck Conservatorium, Amsterdam. Winner of the Grandi Voce International Singing Competition 2011, she made her debut in the title role of The Cunning Little Vixen with Solingen and Remscheid Theaters and performed roles such as Donna Elvira/ Don Giovanni (Escales Lyriques Ile D‘Yeu), Ottavia/ L’Incoronazione di Poppea (festival Óperudagar í Kópavog) and Madame Lidoine/ Dialogues des Carmélites (DNOA). Last years she has progressed into the dramatic repertoire such as Cherubini’s Médée (with opera2day) and Sieglinde/ Die Walküre (concert performance).
Alexandra Untiedt made her debut in 2019 at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein as Helmwige/ Die Walküre.
In concert Alexandra Untiedt has performed Verdi’s Messa da Requiem, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and Missa Solemnis, Mahler’s 2nd Symphony, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Rossini‘s Petite Messe Solennelle, Nielsen’s Sinfonia Espansiva, Messiaen’s Harawi.
Recipient of the Richard Wagner scholarship for Bayreuth 2016 her studied repertoire now encompasses roles such as Marie/ Wozzeck, Leonore/ Fidelio and Senta/ Der Fliegende Holländer.
