Italian coloratura soprano Bianca Tognocchi graduated from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatorio in Milan in 2010. She is prizewinner of international singing competitions, named after Renata Tebaldi, Marcella Pobbe, Magda Olivero, Riccardo Zandonai, Franca Mattiucci, G.B.Rubini, Giannino Zecca, Anselmo Colzani, a.o.
Since 2010 she has participated in productions of AsLiCo, as Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Ninetta in La finta semplice, Serpina in La Serva Padrona, Livietta in Livietta e Tracollo and Fanny in La cambiale di matrimonio.
Bianca Tognocchi performed the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor at Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo as well as the roles of Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Giulia in La Scala di Seta and Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore in Pavia, Jesi, Cremona, Brescia and Como, Sandmännchen and Taumännchen in Hänsel und Gretel at Teatro Regio in Turin and Nannetta in Falstaff at the Ravenna Festival under the baton of Riccardo Muti. In 2015 she portrayed Giannetta in L’Elisir d’Amore in Teatro alla Scala’s live broadcast production at the Malpensa Airport. In summer 2017 she sang Aminta in Mozart’s Il Re Pastore with Opéra de Chambre de Genève.
Since 2012 she has sung regularly with the Tiroler Festspiele in Erl, directed by Gustav Kuhn, a.o. Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Waldvogel in Siegfried, Jemmy in Guglielmo Tell, Elvira in L’Italiana in Algeri, she understudied Königin der Nacht and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and sang soprano parts in Orff’s Carmina Burana, Bach’s Messe h-moll and Weihnachtsoratorium as well as in New Year’s concerts and the inauguration concert of the new theatre in Erl.
Her upcoming roles in 2017/2018 include Musetta with Tiroler Festspiele, Gilda at Malmö Opera and Elvira in L’Italiana in Algeri at Opéra national de Lorraine in Nancy.
