Italian coloratura soprano Bianca Tognocchi graduated from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatorio 2010 in Milan. She is a prizewinner of numerous singing competitions, named after Renata Tebaldi, Marcella Pobbe, Magda Olivero, Riccardo Zandonai, Franca Mattiucci, G.B.Rubini, Giannino Zecca, Anselmo Colzani, Alfredo Giacomotti, a.o.

Since 2010 she has performed with the AsLiCo as Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Ninetta in La finta semplice, Serpina in La Serva Padrona, Livietta in Livietta e Tracollo and Fanny in La cambiale di matrimonio. She appeared at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo in the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor. With OperaLombardia she sung Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Giulia in La Scala di Seta and Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore. Another important role debuts were Sandmännchen/Taumännchen in Hänsel und Gretel at the Teatro Regio Torino and Nannetta in Falstaff at the Ravenna Festival, under the baton of Riccardo Muti. In 2015 she portrayed Giannetta in L’Elisir d’Amore at Teatro alla Scala and in their live broadcast production at the Malpensa Airport. In 2017 she sang Aminta in Mozart’s Il Re Pastore with Opéra de Chambre de Genève and in 2018 her first Gilda in Rigoletto with Malmö Opera. In summer 2018 she is performing Elvira in L’Italiana in Algeri in Nancy and at the Festival de Beaune.

Since 2012 she has performed regularly with Tiroler Festspiele, directed by Gustav Kuhn, a.o. Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Waldvogel in Siegfried, Musetta in La Bohème, Jemmy in Guglielmo Tell, Elvira in L’Italiana in Algeri, Elisa in Il Re Pastore and the soprano solos in Orff’s Carmina Burana, Bach’s Messe h-moll and Weihnachtsoratorium. Her next role in Erl will be Amina in La Sonnambula.

In the autumn 2018 Bianca Tognocchi will join the Leipzig Opera ensemble with repertoire including Gilda, Lucia di Lammermoor, Frasquita and Waldvogel in Siegfried.
