Italian coloratura soprano Bianca Tognocchi graduated in 2010 from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatorio in Milan. She is a prizewinner of numerous competitions, such as Renata Tebaldi, Marcella Pobbe, Magda Olivero, Riccardo Zandonai, Franca Mattiucci, G.B.Rubini, Giannino Zecca, Anselmo Colzani, Alfredo Giacomotti, to name a few.
In the autumn 2018 Bianca Tognocchi joined the ensemble of the Oper Leipzig where she has performed the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor, Gilda/ Rigoletto, Frasquita/ Carmen, Esmeralda/ Die verkaufte Braut and Waldvogel/ Siegfried. Her new roles in 2019/2020 include Adina/ L’Elisir d’amore, Eine italienische Sängerin/ Capriccio and Ein Hüter der Schwelle/ Die Frau ohne Schatten. She has appeared this season as Gilda at Oper Frankfurt and as Lucia di Lammermoor at Staatstheater Darmstadt.
As a regular guest since 2012 at the Tiroler Festspiele she has recently received great acclaim as Amina/ La Sonnambula and Nachtigall in Braunfels’ Vögel. Her other roles in Erl include Jemmy/ Guglielmo Tell, Elvira/ L’Italiana in Algeri, Elisa/ Il Re Pastore Susanna/ Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerlina/ Don Giovanni, Waldvogel/ Siegfried, Musetta/ La Bohème and the soprano solos in Orff’s Carmina Burana, Bach’s Messe h-moll and Weihnachtsoratorium.
Bianca Tognocchi started her career in 2010 and took part in several productions of AsLiCo, as Adina/ L’Elisir d’Amore, Barbarina/ Le Nozze di Figaro, Ninetta/ La finta semplice, Serpina/ La Serva Padrona, Livietta/ Livietta e Tracollo and Fanny/ La cambiale di matrimonio. She made her role debut as Lucia di Lammermoor at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo. With OperaLombardia she performed Olympia/ Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Giulia/ La Scala di Seta and Adina/ L’Elisir d’Amore. At the Teatro Regio Torino she sang Sandmännchen/Taumännchen/ Hänsel und Gretel and Nannetta/ Falstaff at the Ravenna Festival, under the baton of Riccardo Muti.
In 2015 Bianca Tognocchi portrayed Giannetta/ L’Elisir d’Amore at the Teatro alla Scala and in the live broadcast at the Malpensa Airport. In 2017 she performed Aminta/ Mozart’s Il Re Pastore with Opéra de Chambre de Genève. She made her role debut as Gilda/ Rigoletto with Malmö Opera in 2018. In summer 2018 she performed Elvira/ L’Italiana in Algeri at the Opéra national de Lorraine in Nancy, at the Festival de Beaune and in Seoul, South Korea.
