Darya Ryabinko

Russian mezzo-soprano Darya Ryabinko received her musical education in her hometown Krasnoyarsk. In 2010, while still a student, she was invited to become soloist at the Krasnoyarsk State Opera Theatre. She has performed a various repertoire ranging from Cherubino, Dorabella, Adalgisa, Olga and Polina (Pique Dame) to the title role of Carmen, Concepción (Ravel’s L’heure espagnole), Maddalena (Rigoletto), Amneris (Aida), Fenena (Nabucco), Santuzza (Cavalleria rusticana) and the mezzo part in the staged version of Verdi’s Requiem. She is a frequent guest at the State Opera Theatre of Tatarstan and performed Amneris on an extended tour through Holland and Belgium with the same company in 2015. During her studies in Italy 2014/2015 she sang Eboli in a concertante version of Don Carlo in Milan. Darya Ryabinko has won several awards, among them 1st prize at the Antonín Dvorak competition 2014 in Karlovy Vary.
