Michael Heine joined the ensemble of Musiktheater im Revier in the autumn 2018. His repertoire in Gelsenkirchen includes Fafner Das Rheingold, Nourabad Les Pecheurs des Perles, Padre Guardiano and Marchese die Calatrava La forza del destino, Gran Sacerdote Nabucco, Bonzo Madama Butterfly, Gremin Eugene Onegin, Magier Schwanda der Dudelsackpfeifer, Abbot Curlew River, bass solos in Bernstein’s Mass, Stravinsky’s Les Noces and Mozart’s Requiem.
Michael Heine was born in Russia to German parents. After his graduation from the Music Institute in Togliatti he was soloist at the Moscow Boris Pokrovsky Chamber Opera Theatre in 2008-2015 performing Sarastro Die Zauberflöte, Commendatore Don Giovanni, Gran Sacerdote Idomeneo, Trulove The Rake’s Progress, Black Bob Let’s make an opera, Chub Vakula the smith, Lord Syndham Zar und Zimmermann and Colagianni Pulcinella by Pergolesi-Stravinsky as well as roles in operas of Shostakovich, Sidelnikov and Rostovsky. In 2017 he made his German debut as Lodovico Otello at the Theater Nordhausen and appeared with the same role at Theater Schwerin.
