Biography

Michael Heine was born in Russia from German parents and lives currently in Germany. After his graduation from the Music Institute in Togliatti and winning several vocal competitions he became a resident artist at the Moscow Boris Pokrovsky Chamber Opera Theatre in 2008-2015 performing Sarastro, Commendatore in Don Giovanni, Gran Sacerdote in Idomeneo, Trulove in The Rake’s Progress, Black Bob in Britten’s Let’s make an opera, Colagianni in Pulcinella by Pergolesi-Stravinsky, Chub in Tchaikovsky’s Vakula the smith, Lord Syndham in Lortzing’s Zar und Zimmermann and a range of roles in Russian and Soviet operas of Shostakovich, Sidelnikov and Rostovsky.

In 2017/2018 Michael Heine performed Lodovico in Otello at the Theater Nordhausen and Theater Schwerin. In 2018/2019 he joins the ensemble of Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen performing Gran Sacerdote in Nabucco, Fafner in Das Rheingold, Nourrabad in Les Pêcheurs de Perles, Gremin in Eugen Onegin a.o.
