Biography

Michael Heine was born in Russia to German parents and lives currently in Germany. After his graduation from the Music Institute in Togliatti and winning several vocal competitions he was soloist at the Moscow Boris Pokrovsky Chamber Opera Theatre in 2008-2015 performing Sarastro/ Die Zauberflöte, Commendatore/ Don Giovanni, Gran Sacerdote/ Idomeneo, Trulove/ The Rake’s Progress, Black Bob/ Let’s make an opera, Chub/ Vakula the smith, Lord Syndham/ Zar und Zimmermann and Colagianni/ Pulcinella by Pergolesi-Stravinsky as well as a range of roles in operas of Shostakovich, Sidelnikov and Rostovsky.

In 2017/2018 Michael Heine made his German debut as Lodovico/ Otello at the Theater Nordhausen and Theater Schwerin. In 2018/2019 he joined the ensemble of Musiktheater im Revier where he has performed Gran Sacerdote/ Nabucco, Fafner/ Das Rheingold, Nourrabad/ Les Pêcheurs de Perles, Gremin/ Eugen Onegin and Magier/ Schwanda der Dudelsackpfeifer. His new roles in 2019/2020 include Padre Guardiano and Marchese di Calatrava/ La Forza del Destino, Bonzo/ Madama Butterfly and the bass solo in Stravinsky’s Les Noces.
